Remapping Pixels For Spiders

In Adrian Tchaikovsky’s Children of Time, spiders evolve human-level intelligence and build their own digital age (it’s a great book). When they need to encode images, they index pixels from the center outward in a spiral, because of course they would think in spirals.

That insignificant part of the book always stuck with me. So I built a tool that reorders pixels in images and video the same way, showing how a spider might receive our data and completely fail to understand it.






Muybridge Stop Motion

Using the classic Muybridge horse film, I generated 3D models using ComfyUI and worked with the frame by frame models as replacement animation in Cinema4D, where I could then do anything I wanted.


StreamDiffusion Mirrors

Realtime AI mirrors create surreal shadow puppets that make great  interactive experiences for a networking party.

Urchin Futures

With rising seawater temperatures and ocean acidification that threaten the survival of numerous aquatic species, sea urchin is emerging as one of the most climate-resilient organisms capable of adapting to warming seawater conditions. Urchin Futures project proposes introducing the Atlantic green sea urchin into New England’s aquacultures to guarantee food supply amidst climate change.
